Voters Have Clear Choice - Conservative Reform Trustees or Liberal Union Candidates

One by one, Fran Sdao of the teacher union’s so called  “Children First" coalition and member of the South County Democratic Club introduced the five candidates they are endorsing in their effort to take over control of the CUSD Board of Trustees in the November General Election. They include a failed Democratic Nominee for a State Senate seat who ran with widespread union support on a platform calling for same sex marriage, increased rights to abortion and higher taxes; an 18 year old kid that just graduated from high school 35 days before he filed papers seeking to be elected; and an outspoken supporter and apologist for CUSD’s indicted former Superintendent James Fleming.

Meet the Union Candidates:

Gary Pritchard: a failed Democratic Nominee for a State Senate seat in 2008 who ran with widespread union support on a platform calling for same sex marriage, increased rights to abortion and higher taxes.  Pritchard's ballot statement was paid for by the ultra liberal publication “Daily Kos” and his wife writes for the equally liberal Huffington Post. Saam Alikhani: an 18 year old kid that just graduated from high school 35 days before he filed papers seeking to be elected as a CUSD Trustee.  He has been a vocal supporter of the unions. Here is Alikhani's platform when he ran for student body president a few months ago:
“If you want more activities like the dodgeball, ping pong and basketball tournaments I've put on…If you want less administration watching our each and every move at dances then vote for Saam Alikhani.”

Wow – He’s going from calling for more dodgeball and less diligent chaperoning of the high school dance floor to leading the 9th largest school district in the state which is nearly-broke and  wracked by labor strife. That’s quite a leap, isn’t it? Is this really the best the union could do? Read the OC Register Story and the Red County Story.

Martha McNicholas: an outspoken supporter and apologist for CUSD’s indicted former Superintendent James Fleming. READ McNicholas Support for Fleming

Lynn Hatton: is in the “Education Business” – she makes her living selling products and services to school districts. Can you say conflict of interest?

John Alpay: is a political opportunist willing to say and do anything to get elected to any office. He ran unsuccessfully for City Council in San Clemente in the last election, and now is hoping to ride into elected office with the support of the public employee unions. READ OC Register Story

Just as we suspected, liberal Democrat political operatives, union sympathizers and apologists for the former corrupt Fleming Regime trying to take control of our school district!
